Hi, I am trying to sell the idea to the company that the Infragistics controls for asp.net will do the job for our upcoming project. The management is very keen and we know the controls will cut down our development time. The question i have is about Licensing. I couldnt get any information on the type of licensing we are looking for.

Basically, the development team is made up of about 4 people. The project will be a big project therefore, we need to keep the software updated. In addition we want the source code and support. Finally and most importantly, there should be no restrictions on how many projects the controls can be used in and the number of deployments we can do. By this i mean that there should be no limits on how many clients we give the dll's to along with our software built using the infragistics library.

 So can anyone please recommend , what kind of licensing we will need?

You can find our License Agreement for our .NET products (including NetAdvantage for ASP.NET) at this page of our website.  It's a legal document, of course; while it may not clearly answer your questions, it does have the answers to some of your questions, as well as many others.

To translate the answers to your specific questions from this document, and to add what's not answered in the License Agreement:

• All of our subscription licenses provide you with access to our source code and to our standard support service.  You can also add a priority support license, which gives you access to phone support, live chat support (24-by-5), and rapid-response web submission support.
• Our subscriptions include upgrades for one year, and it's easy to renew your subscriptions for subsequent years.
• We only license the developers who are using the toolset.  You can distribute however many applications you want built with our toolset to however many target locations as you want.
