    My Downloads Broken

None of the downloads work. All the DownloadID's on the query strings come through as all zero's.

I'm trying to download the source to V2008.2 for CLR 2.0 but none of them can be downloaded.

I'm sorry that you're experiencing difficulties with the download process.  To help me help you could you answer the following for me?

    1. What happens when you try to download the file?  Do you get an error?  Is there any message displayed?
    2. What browser and version are you using ?
    3. What operating system are you running?
    4. Are you logged in to the Infragistics site at the time you try and download or no?

    Thank you,

    Kevin

    Re: My Downloads Broken

I'm running IE 7 on Vista SP1 64bit. I am logged in. There is no error message, I get a blank browser window with https://www.infragistics.com/downloads/DownloadLinkGenerator.aspx?DownloadId=00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000001384 in the address bar.

Thank you for the follow up information, I will look into this and get back to you.  One more quick question, what level of security are you running IE in and is Javascript enabled?

The download file you're looking for is 55mb so I can't email it to you directly but if we can't get this resolved soon I'll provide you with another means of accessing the file once I've been able to confirm your susbscription.  However, that's a backup plan, hopefully we can resolve the site issue first.  I'm personally running IE7 on Vista 32 and am not experiencing the same issue so I'm looking for a 64bit environment at the moment.

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this.

    Re: My Downloads Broken

With all the settings in IE7 on Vista it's a little tough to know how to answer the question "what level of security are you running" but, it's the Internet zone, Protected Mode is On, and Javascript is enabled.

    Re: My Downloads Broken

Just as a follow up, I moved *.infragistics.com to the Trusted Sites zone with Protected Mode Off and the download worked. (I should have tried this first.)

I'm assuming that the Infragistics web site is in your Trusted sites zone; try it in the Internet zone and see if it makes a difference.

Interesting.  I'm glad you were able to access the download finally, the trouble you had however is cause for concern.  I do not have our domain explicitly listed in my trusted sites Iist but I do want to replicate your environment outside of the network here in the office and see if I can reproduce the behavior.  Thank you for the information, I'm anxious to get home and see what I can come up with...I wonder if that's reason enough to leave early!  ;-)

    Re: My Downloads Broken

Well you certainly have my permission to leave early!

Of course, my permission doesn't count for squat!

Actually running with IG.com in the INet zone and Protected Mode on breaks a few other things as well. Logging in takes a second click on the Login link (click once, enter password, then click again before the user name shows up.) Logging in from the home page results in a blank page and requires navigating to the home page again (refresh isn't good enough) before the user name shows up.

I dl'd the 2008.2 release back in June when I built this computer and didn't have these problems. Perhaps a MS update to IE7?

I'm usually working late in the evening; let me know if you need any more info.

I would take time to answer but I'm on my way home...

Obviously NOT true!  The additional information you've provided is excellent, thank you.  I just might ping you one evening to see if anything we've done corrects the issue for you, thank you.  In the future please feel free to contact me directly regarding any issues you might run into when using our web properties.
