After upgrading my website from 2007 vol3 CLR 2.0 to 2008 vol3 CLR 3.5, the webtextedit control appears as being "read only" or non editable despite the following:
1. No changes were made to the webtextedit before upgrade which used to accept user input
2. The properties on the control are - Enabled = true, ReadyOnly = false, Visible = true which are the only properties that could possible disable this control I thought.

I am not sure how to get this control to work and why it became readonly after the upgrade (even though no properties are set to make it readonly) and currently my only option is to use the standard text edit box but it does not have the same look and feel as teh rest of my themed page.

 Any help on this and whether there are known issues for this control would be greatly appreciated.

This certainly does not seem right. The problem is that I am trying to reproduce this locally, unfortunately without much success. No matter what I tried (and I tried several different setups plus I followed your instructions), the result was always a working edit box for me.

Maybe the best approach in cases like that is to contact our developer support department directly - they can be reached from this page:

If you have a small subset of your project reproducing the issue, it will be much easier for them to get the repro running and advise further.

I ran into the same issue when upgrading from version 7.3 to 8.2.  I cretaed a simple page with one WebTextEdit control on it and was not able to enter data into the control.

 I was checking to make sure all the assemblies were on the right version.  When I check the script directory I noticed my scripts were 7.2.  I copied the 8.2 scripts to my webserver and that fixed the problem.

We upgraded from 7.3 to 8.2 and are having exactly the same problem with both WebNumericEdit and WebMaskEdit controls. Has anyone found any solution to this?
